Turquoise
Turquoise got its notoriety from the Crusaders in Europe. Its iridescent blue-green colors earned it the name "pierre turquoise", which means "Turkish stone". The word "kallainos", derived from the Greek, on the other hand, refers to the "blue and green iridescent" shades. So far, the most beautiful turquoises have been found in Arizona and Mexico, but also in Russia, Tibet and China. In Germany or in Greece, turquoises can also be found in collector quality.
Turquoise: Traditional use and meaning
In ancient times, turquoise was revered as a lucky charm and sacred stone in many cultures. It is one of the oldest precious stones and gemstones. In ancient Egypt, turquoise with its saturated color was used by the Aztecs and Persians as adornment for the rulers. The gemstone grinding and thus the processing into a piece of jewelry are easy, since the turquoise falls into the category of medium-hard stones. According to popular belief, turquoise as a protective stone can warn of dangers. At the same time, it should strengthen self-confidence and communication skills and promote assertiveness. The turquoise should appeal to one's own responsibility and at the same time strengthen the necessary vitality for powerful deeds. He helps to discard old routines and dare to take the leap into the new. According to traditional use, the power unfolds when the turquoise is worn on the body or placed in the car to avert danger.

As part of its name, turquoise refers to the beautiful colors of sky blue, blue-green and apple green that the gemstone has to offer. The sky blue of the turquoise is one of the most impressive colors. The turquoise is completely opaque.
Turquoise: Purify, Discharge and Recharge
The turquoise should be unloaded after shipment and then once a month in a bowl of hematite tumbled stones and cleaned as it were. The stone is charged within one night with the help of the rock crystal. Sunbeams should be avoided, as the turquoise can fade due to natural drying out.
