Lapis lazuli: color and transparency
The lapis lazuli from our range gets its unique blue color from the naturally added mineral lazurite. Its name comes from Persian and is translated as sky blue. If the opaque lapis lazuli contains calcite, it can show bright patterns, while pyrite provides sparkling drawings of the mineral mixture.
Lapis Lazuli: Purifying, Discharging and Recharging
To unload the lapis lazuli after shipping and use, it is placed in a bowl overnight along with hematite. This form of cleaning and discharging should be carried out every four weeks after purchase. On the other hand, chemicals and cleaning agents must not be used during cleaning. Hard objects and brushes should also not be used, as the stone can easily break or get scratches. Rock crystals are suitable for supplying new energy to the gemstone. However, the sensitive stone does not tolerate solar radiation.
