Labradorite Meaning:
The labradorite impresses with its dazzling play of colors and its attractive metallic luster, which are so unique that they have their own name: labradorescence. Since the wonderful stone has an extremely sensitive surface, pieces of jewelry with labradorite are particularly valuable and comparatively rare to find. It was first discovered and described on the eponymous peninsula of Labrador, part of Canada, by a missionary who found the stone there in the 18th century. Due to its exclusive play of colors, the labradorite is associated with creativity, inventiveness and intuition in popular belief.
