Rhodochrosite
The rare rhodochrosite, with its enchanting pink, is one of the most coveted gemstones. It is also known under the names inca rose and raspberry or rose spat. It is considered to be particularly valuable worldwide and can be found not only in mines but also on the seabed in Romania, Germany, Mexico and Brazil. Since rhodochrosite naturally contains the metal manganese, it is not suitable for the production of gemstone water. In general, people suffering from high blood pressure should refrain from using the powerful stone.
Rhodochrosite: Traditional Use and Importance
Rhodochrosite has been popular in South America for many centuries and was already used by the Incas as a protective stone. In Europe it has mainly been found in jewelry showcases since the 1950s. Traditionally, the attractive gemstone is considered a companion of love and is often used as a little helper when flirting. But the pink gemstone can do even more: in crystal healing it is used to release inner blockages so that the path for love is free. With its help, emotions can appear more clearly and empathy can be trained. It is said to be able to solve fears and depressions and thus awaken a lust for life. In this way, the beautiful stone can support the search for inner harmony.

Rhodochrosite: color and transparency
The manganese contained in the rhodochrosite is responsible for its appealing coloring in shades of red or pink. Another distinguishing feature of the coveted gemstone is its opaque to milky transparency. In addition, some special specimens from the old Argentine Inca mines may show light bands.
Rhodochrosite: Cleanse, discharge and charge
The energetic cleansing of a rhodochrosite chain is done overnight using a bowl full of hematite stones. In addition, the gemstone can be rinsed under running, lukewarm water once a month. Since rhodochrosite is one of the softer stones, it can easily get scratches and should be stored and cleaned with care.
